Serving the St. Louis Area for Over 35 Years
Being locally-owned and managed, our senior leadership team remains in daily contact with the owners, allowing for effective communication that leads to quick decision making and problem solving. We take pride in fostering a team spirit that creates great synergy amongst our three locations and owners. At Garden View, everyone is family. Our president, Richard Winter, has been with us for many years, and several staff members have remained with the company since the beginning, moving into various senior leadership roles. The longevity of our staff is something we pride ourselves in, as there are many newly-opened senior living communities with new teams and staff who’ve never worked with one another. Many of our staff members have been with us for 10, 20 and even 30 years. At each of our locations, you can view our Walls of Fame celebrating those staff members who have chosen to stay with us throughout the years as caregivers, maintenance crew, dietary managers, cooks, housekeepers, receptionists, managers and more.

Our Residents are Our Priority
Our residents and their families enjoy the peace of mind they have knowing they are our number one priority. Because we are able to offer all levels of care, the staff who interact with residents are able to monitor and observe them closely, noticing any changing behaviors or medical conditions that need to be discussed with family members and health professionals during personalized care meetings. All care needs are located conveniently under one roof in a comfortable, home-like environment, and all aspects of care are person-centered and individualized to meet each resident’s unique needs.
The residential setting offers all the comforts of home, and visitors enjoy the family-like atmosphere that is created by the residents and all departmental staff. We take the time to get to know all the residents’ names, and you’ll often see non-medical staff enjoying friendly interactions with residents, as well. For example, the Chef has a genuine interest in knowing what the residents like to eat, allowing their ideas to influence his culinary options and plans. The Maintenance Manager is available to fix that broken light bulb, but won’t pass up the opportunity to have a daily chat with a resident during their rounds of the building.
We Care About Our Residents’ Families
Understandably, the families of loved ones who require extra care often have many questions. Our Social Services Manager, Administrator, Director of Nurses and Admissions Director are all available to answer those important questions you may have, and will even visit the home to conduct an evaluation upon request. Our residents are our number one priority, and a review of the many testimonials we have received will attest to the quality of care we offer and the amazing dedication of our staff.

“I have been at GVCC of Chesterfield for almost a year and I absolutely love this community. It is on 12 acres, set far back from the road, it looks like it was placed in the middle of a park! The staff here have so much longevity and care in their hearts! The maintenance director can tell you a residents favorite snack or channel to watch on TV and the Chef makes personalized omelets for the residents for breakfast! This is a great, small community in Chesterfield!”

“I worked at Garden View in Chesterfield as a Receptionist from August of 2020 to May of 2021. I will say it was the less stressful job I ever had. The moment you walk in you will be amazed with the cleanliness and the beautiful art work hanging on the walls. It is a very peaceful community where people truly care about one another. I will miss the smiles of the Residents and the welcoming smiling faces of all the employees. I will miss every department I had a chance to work with. If you want a great place to work this will be the place. If you are looking for a great retirement home to place a love one in this would be the place. The nurses truly care about the Residents and go above and beyond to make sure they are taken care of.”

“My 92 year old mom had been living at an assisted living community that promised us the moon and the stars and failed to deliver. Once we realized our mom wasn’t getting the care or attention she deserved my sisters and I decided to begin our search. A friend of our family had recommended Garden View Care Center of Chesterfield after her dad had such great care in the memory care area and we are so thankful every day that she told us about Garden View! We were so afraid
“My mom-in-law is here for rehab following a fall. I can't say enough great things about the staff. Everyone is so helpful and really seem to care. They even keep her hair in a cute style and keep her clean and looking nice; this with every random time of the day visit we have made since her admission so we know it's consistent. This is a beautiful facility; very clean and no unpleasant odor anywhere we've wandered and she really likes the food, saying it's delicious. Unfortunately my mother-in-law may have to become a long-term resident but on the plus side, she'a already in a place that we approve of and making friends.”

“I visited this facility. My father was in a horrible, neglectful nursing home before he was transferred to Garden View. He is doing so much better now. He is walking better, eating better, more content. No place is perfect, but they really try here. The management does not tolerate poor care, and that makes all the difference in the world. The physical environment is well maintained and clean. They have activities for the residents. My father is safe now.”
