The community at Dougherty Ferry in Valley Park is our newest location, opening in 1999. Located on six green acres, the garden courtyards and window views of the lawns provide a natural tranquility that is calming to our residents. All the residents live in rooms that are on the ground floor to ensure easy emergency access should the need arise. Each day our residents enjoy stimulating activities, including movies, birthday celebrations, chair yoga, live shows, outings to Cardinal games, musical recitals or cooking demonstrations. The Stan Musial Room is a Cardinal fan favorite and the grandkids love the ice cream parlor!

Executive Chef and Dietary Manager Robert Sullivan is a native of Tennessee and he credits his involvement in the air force R.O.T.C. Program to help build his personal foundation as a leader. Chef Robert studied under Executive Chef Mark Cook for Catering St Louis and transferred his culinary skill and passion to the healthcare industry working for Lutheran Senior Services, Delmar Gardens and Missouri Baptist center and Morrison Healthcare Food Service as Sous Chef. He believes residents and employees should get great food. Here at Garden View Care Centers his culinary passion speaks for itself, every meal is sure to please.
